Terms of Service

The terms for using Telltale, including the founding membership offer and your refundable deposit.

Last updated 27 June 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms are a contract between you and Telltale (“Telltale”, “we”, “us”), operated by Oliver Tuck Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15304467, registered office Belmont Suite, Paragon Business Park, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, England, BL6 6HG. By reserving a founder seat, joining our waitlist, or using Telltale, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

01About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Telltale website and, once available, the Telltale service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of your agreement with us. We may provide additional terms for specific features; where they apply, they form part of these terms.

02The founding membership offer

Telltale is currently pre-launch. The founding membership offer lets you reserve one of a limited number of founder seats before the service opens. By placing a refundable deposit, you:

  • reserve a founder seat in the order reservations are received;
  • lock the founding price of £49 per monthfor as long as your membership remains active (“for life”), which will not be increased for founding members while your subscription continues without interruption;
  • get early access when we open to founding members.

Founder seats are limited and the offer may be withdrawn or changed for new customers at any time. Reserving a seat does not by itself create a paid subscription; your subscription begins only when the service launches, with your deposit applied to your first month (see section 3).

03Deposits and payment

Your deposit is £49, equal to one month of the founding price. It is charged when you reserve, today, and is fully refundable at any time before launch. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

When Telltale launches, we will contact you before any further billing. At that point you may:

  • Continue — your deposit is applied to your first month, and your subscription then renews at £49/month from month two onwards until you cancel; or
  • Decline — tell us you no longer want to proceed and we will refund your deposit in full.

We will never convert your deposit into a paid subscription without first giving you notice and the chance to decline. Subscription prices are inclusive or exclusive of VAT as indicated at checkout.

04Cancellation and refunds

As a consumer you have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. Separately, and more generously, your founding deposit is refundable at any time before the service launches, for any reason.

To cancel and request a refund, email hello@trytelltale.com from the address you reserved with. We will process the refund to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days. After launch, you can cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of your current billing month; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial months unless required by law.

05Pre-launch status and no guarantee

Telltale is in active development. We are working toward a first release in Q4 2026, but this is a target, not a promise, and the date, scope and features may change as we build. Features described on our website represent our current intentions and may evolve before launch.

If we decide not to launch the service, or if we are unable to provide it to you, we will refund your deposit in full. Your reservation does not entitle you to any specific feature, launch date, or level of service beyond what is set out in these terms.

06The service and its data

Telltale organises and surfaces information drawn from official UK public records, including Companies House, the HMRC VAT register and the FCA register. While we work to keep this information accurate and current, we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date, as it depends on third-party public sources and their own timeliness.

Telltale is a sales-intelligence and research tool. It does not provide legal, financial, credit, investment or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. You are responsible for how you use the information, including using it lawfully and in compliance with data protection and marketing laws (such as UK GDPR and PECR) when contacting the businesses and people it surfaces.

07Acceptable use

When using Telltale you agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of data protection or marketing laws;
  • resell, scrape, or systematically extract the service or its data except as expressly permitted;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • share your account credentials, except as your plan allows.

We may suspend or limit access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

08Intellectual property

Telltale, its software, design, branding and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Underlying facts from public registers are not owned by us, but our compilation, presentation and analysis of them are. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your internal business purposes, subject to these terms.

09Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that:

  • the service is provided "as is", and we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet a particular outcome such as winning business;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business or anticipated savings;
  • our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £100.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.

10Suspension and termination

You can cancel your reservation or subscription as described above. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we cease to offer the service. Where we end the service and you have an active reservation or prepaid period, we will refund any amounts covering the period we no longer provide.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are material we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use Telltale after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are currently at version 1.0.

12Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you benefit from the mandatory protections of the law where you live.
